Geographic Information System Expert
Kenneth Punay is currently a Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist at San Miguel Holdings Corporation (SMHC) Infrastructures, Operations Division. As a GIS Specialist, he has been professionally doing it since 2010 and involves him in different various fields. He has a very wide range of knowledge in GIS and applied it in different multi-disciplinary sciences. His GIS application is specialized in disaster risk management, transportation/infrastructure, and urban/regional planning. Kenneth is one of the few flood scientists in the country and a former member of the Flood Modelling Component of DOST-Project Nationwide Operation Assessment of Hazards (NOAH), Disaster Risk and Exposure Assessment for Mitigation (DREAM) Program.
He has a Master in Urban and Regional Planning degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from University of the Philippines – Diliman, and Bachelor of Science in Economics (units only) from Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
