Mr. Aquino is currently an Advisor at Infinivan, Inc.,a Japan-affiliated and congressionally-franchised Philippine telecommunications company. He holds a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Mapua Institute of Technology and masters degrees in economics from the Center for Research and Communication (now UA&P) and Columbia University
Mr. Aquino provides advisory work for international and local companies in the areas of business development, capital fund raisings, investor relations, and telecommunications network infrastructure. His current engagements also include coverage of digital transformation, product and service development in wired and wireless broadband services, rights-of-way acquisition, submarine cable systems and telecom regulatory issues. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Harvard Institute for International Development and an International Economist at the Republic National Bank of New York.
Mr. Aquino had served as the Advisor of several companies in charge of international business development and had assisted in bringin direct foreign investments in telecommunications, fintech, and medical tourism among others into the Philippines. His more than 30 years of telecommunications industry experience were accumulated in various stints in the U.S., Japan, and Singapore.
He also facilitated and led the identification of and negotiations for strategic partnerships involving local and international entities involving rights of way, capacity acquisition, submarine cable systems, and network development.
